Healthy With Multiple Sclerosis Series: Why Diet and Lifestyle Matter

Food as medicine. The mind-body medicine. Free drug. Alternative Medicine. Can it really help those living with multiple sclerosis to grow?
Absolutely.
Since being diagnosed with MS in 2009, I dove into science free MS treatments, and practice different methods of disease modifying drugs outside. Do not get me wrong. Although we took several weeks to get to the guts that daily injection of Copaxone, I do follow accepted medical approach.
But I do not stop there. I was 42 and still a lot of things I wanted to do with your life. My story is still written.
Part of that story to share with others the things I discovered on my journey. These are the things that worked for me and others and can work for you. These are things that are backed by science, not just some crazy my opinion. There is a lot, so I'm breaking it down into a series.
Before I get into the specific elements in a future installment, I want to give an overview on why diet and lifestyle changes are so important.
First, your doctor probably told you that it is important not to forget that you can still get sick from other things. You can still get cancer. You can still get diabetes. MS does not seem immune to other conditions. In fact, with your immune system goes a little haywire, and perhaps even suppressed depending on the MS drug use, it is important to take care of themselves.
Seriously, no one should double whammy of MS _____________ [insert another condition no one wants]. And do you really need to be loaded with disease modifying drugs and insulin?
This means diagnosis can wake up call to lose weight you're trying to lose for years. That means reducing the stress that your adrenals taxation. That means getting 8 hours of sleep a night. And of course, that means moving your body in any way you can, and you'll enjoy. You'll find that I despise the word exercise,., But moving your body, it is something that I can get the
Second, poor diet, stress, and there is no self-care to carry his body. However, the stronger you are, the better you can deduct from worsening.
Finally, as a healthy and relaxed makes you happy. You feel great. You can get some if not all of my life back. Who wants that?
